Why ‘simply’ yoga?

I have been fortunate to study with some amazing teachers over the years, including the world-renowned Donna Fahri and Leslie Kaminoff, and have personally experienced lots of different styles: Hatha, Viniyoga, Sivananda, Jivamukti, Restorative, Scaravelli-inspired, Feldenkrais, Vinyasa Flow…

I have also experienced many different therapeutic practices such as acupuncture, Alexander Technique, Myofascial Release, Reiki, and various physical therapies. I have been trained in MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction), mindfulness meditation and Autogenic Therapy, a specific meditative technique, by Dr Ann Bowden of the British Autogenic Society herself.

From each of these elements I have learnt many important things and have taken inspiration from these in refining my own teaching approach which is to me ‘simply’ yoga.
